Today grades 6-8 met for their quarterly award ceremony. This was an opportunity to recognize distinguished students of the quarter in their content classes (UA, math, English, science, & social studies). These were student who excelled academically and/or as a community member in a specific class. We also recognized academic honor and high honor roll. To qualify for honor roll, students need to earn academic grades of 90 or above in all of their classes. To qualify for high honor roll, students need to earn academic grades of 96 or above in all of their their classes. Lastly, citizenship and academic work habit honor roll was recognized. Citizenship relates to students meeting our expectations of being safe, respectful, and responsible. Academic work habits are connected to students being engaged learners, and persevering through challenging academic settings.
Congratulations to all of our students who were recognized today!
While 5th Grade did not meet today to celebrate, they will at a future date. The 5th grade honor is listed below.
