The first day of school is fast approaching! We begin the year with two orientation days where the focus is on all of the nuts and bolts of the high school experience – laptops, class schedules, meeting teachers, navigating the building, etc. It is a great opportunity for students to settle in and learn about routines and expectations.
Grades 9 and 10 begin on Wednesday, 8/30 (no school for 11/12). Grades 11 and 12 begin on Thursday, 8/31 (no school for 9/10). There is no school Friday, 9/1, and Monday, 9/4, in observance of the Labor Day holiday, and all students return on Tuesday, 9/5.
Tuesday, 9/5, will be the first day of our Blue/White schedule. The first day is a Blue Day, meaning only Blue Day classes will meet. Day two is a White Day, and so forth. Students will have an opportunity to run through the schedule during the orientation days.
Lastly, the fall sports season is now underway! Preseason practices have begun, and we are really excited for upcoming scrimmages and games. Please check out the WHS Athletics & Activities website for up to date game schedules and reminders.
Go Blazes!
