Saccarappa's Garden Club is off to a successful start this fall as it prepares for another thriving garden this school year.
Saccarappa received first place in the school garden category at the Cumberland County Fair. This is the club's eleventh first-place ribbon. Congratulations, Garden Club!
Thirty-six first and second-grade students have participated in the first round of Garden Club! These students met before school on Wednesday mornings. They were busy cleaning out the raised beds and preparing the garden for winter. The students pulled out some marigold plants and hung them to dry in the school greenhouse for upcoming seed-saving activities.
In November, the Garden Club will begin another four-week rotation with another lucky grade level. Thank you to the teachers, parents, and students for making Garden Club such a success.
