Multilingual Programs

The Westbrook School Department is proud of its growing diversity. Currently, our students represent thirty-four different birth countries and twenty-eight different primary languages. As the fourth largest Multilingual population in the state of Maine, 21% of our total student population are identified as Multilingual Learners. Our staff continues to grow to address the academic and social/emotional needs of our students. As always, we are proud of the continued growth our students demonstrate on the annual WIDA ACCESS assessment. Our growing team of Multilingual staff are some of the most hard working, highly skilled and compassionate group of educators.
